Snapchat isn’t just a messaging app anymore, it’s become a two-in-one messaging and astrology app. That may seem like an odd pairing, but it makes perfect sense. The in-app astrological readings are bound to spark fun conversations.
To gain access to your astrological profile, first, make sure that you have the latest version of Snapchat. Next, tap on your Bitmoji icon in the top left corner of the screen, and select the star sign that’s underneath your name.
You’ll then have to enter your birthday, along with your time of birth and location. After that, Snapchat will give you a rundown of where the planets aligned at your time of birth.
Snapchat will identify your sun, rising, and moon signs, as well as the placements of all other planets in several detailed slides. It will also interpret what all of that means for your personality, giving you a chance to perhaps learn something new about yourself.
But if you don’t feel like reading too much into it, you can check out your overall astrological profile. This gives you a summary of your dominant traits, and shows how you fare in three categories: Elements, Modality, and Polarity.
To make this feature even more fun, Snapchat built a compatibility tool to go along with it. Now you can check how compatible you are with your family, friends, or partner on the app.
If one of your friends has already enabled the astrology feature, you can see how well you should get along according to the stars. Simply navigate to their Snapchat profile, tap on their star sign, and you’ll get an in-depth compatibility analysis. You can check out your overall compatibility, as well as dive in to see what may make you harmonize or clash.
The entire feature utilizes Bitmojis, which adds a unique flavor to an astrological reading. Plus, it’s easy enough to interpret for anyone who’s new to the world of astrology. Other astrology sites may prove to be a bit too complex for beginners, making Snapchat a surprisingly good place to start.
