Players will be able to hit the links in PGA Tour 2K23 playing as and against famous golf professionals like Woods, Justin Thomas, Lexi Thompson, Xander Schauffele, and more, as despite the rise of LIV Golf in 2022, PGA Tour 2K23’s roster remains strong. Gamers can create their own golfer, make or join Online Societies, and compete online in any of the editions available when the game launches, though some editions will offer some golfers and cosmetics that can’t be found elsewhere.

Standard and Cross-Gen Editions

Two different versions of the Standard Edition of PGA Tour 2K23 can be found in stores, with one being for PC players and previous generation consoles only, and the other offering dual-entitlement from last-gen consoles to the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. The dual-entitlement version of the game is $10 more and is a good suggestion for any player who has both current and last-gen consoles or is thinking that they will upgrade to a new-gen console like the PS5 or Xbox Series X in the near future.

The Standard Edition includes the Michael Jordan Bonus Pack, which includes Michael Jordan as a playable character and four common golf ball sleeves, which will be used each time a round of golf is played. Standard ball sleeves are included in the game, but special ones that give players extra distance, spin, bounce, and more have to be earned or purchased from the in-game store. Players that are focusing on playing competitively online will especially value the more powerful ball sleeves, as they will elevate a PGA Tour 2K23 created pro’s skills and make them much more competitive in an online setting. The ball sleeves come as part of the Golden Club Pack, which includes four uncommon ball sleeves, a gold putter, and gold driver.

Deluxe and Tiger Woods Editions

PGA Tour 2K23’s $99.99 Deluxe Edition contains everything from the Standard Editions, including dual-entitlement, and adds the Deluxe Edition Bonus Pack into the mix. The bonus pack includes a hockey stick putter for Happy Gilmore fans and a gold baseball cap and glove to go along with the putter and driver in the Golden Club Pack. Deluxe Edition owners also receive 1,300 Virtual Currency to spend in the game’s store. On top of the ball sleeves in the Standard Edition, the Deluxe Edition includes three Rare Tier sleeves, which should give players who want to jump online a good initial advantage. Finally, the Deluxe Edition offers the chance to play PGA Tour 2K23 three days early on October 11 instead of October 14.

Celebrating the cover athlete, the Tiger Woods Edition of PGA Tour 2K23 includes everything in the lower versions including the ability to play on October 11 and adds in the Tiger Woods Edition Bonus Pack and the Tiger Woods Signature Sunday Pack. Between the two packs, players will get a lot of Tiger Woods-themed gear for their created player, including clubs and attire, as well as some Epic Tier ball sleeves to use in their early rounds playing the game. At $119.99, the Tiger Woods Edition of PGA Tour 2K23 is the most expensive version of the game, but Woods fans will likely enjoy most of the gear included in it.

PGA Tour 2K23 is scheduled to release on October 14 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
