A week after the trade deadline, players have gotten acclimated to their new environments with a handful of games. 

The NHL slate this week includes eight games scheduled on ABC, TSN or NHL Network. There is an Original Six matchup, multiple divisional rivalries and two of the best teams in the league going head-to-head. 

Here is a look at the NHL games on national TV this week.

What games are on NHL Network?

Hurricanes vs. Capitals

Date: Monday, March 28 Time: 7 p. m. ET

This is the fourth and final meeting of the regular season between the Metropolitan Division foes. The Hurricanes own the best record in the division but the Capitals have taken the three previous meetings, two in regulation and one in a shootout. 

Panthers vs. Devils

Date: Saturday, April 2 Time: 12:30 p. m. ET

The Panthers and Devils square off for the third and final time this season. The Devils won the first matchup 7-3 in November before the Panthers earned a 4-1 win just over a week later. 

Canadiens vs. Lightning

Date: Saturday, April 2 Time: 7 p. m. ET

These two teams met twice in December, with the Lightning coming away with two one-goal victories. Montreal has already been eliminated from the postseason, while Tampa Bay is jockeying for a favorable first-round playoff matchup. 

Flyers vs. Rangers

Date: Sunday, April 3 Time: 7 p. m. ET

The Flyers and Rangers have two meetings in the span of a week and a half, with the first one occurring in New York. The Rangers have two wins over the Flyers this season, one each during the Flyers’ two losing streaks of 10 or more games. 

What games are on TNT?

Red Wings vs. Rangers

Date: Wednesday, March 30 Time: 7 p. m. ET

The Original Six teams have only met once in the 2021-22 season. The Red Wings earned a 3-2 shootout win in mid-February.

Golden Knights vs. Kraken

Date: Wednesday, March 20 Time: 10 p. m. ET

The Golden Knights were the Kraken’s first opponent in a regular-season game, and after two trips to Vegas this season, the Kraken host their Pacific Division foe for the first time. It’s the first game of back-to-back matchups in Seattle between the two. Vegas is 2-0-0 this season against the Kraken. 

Islanders vs. Devils

Date: Sunday, April 3 Time: 4:30 p. m. ET

This is the fourth and final meeting between the Tri-State area clubs. The Islanders were victorious the last two times out, while the Devils grabbed a win in the first meeting of the season. 

What game is on ABC?

Penguins vs. Avalanche

Date: Saturday, April 2 Time: 3 p. m. ET

Saturday afternoon’s contest marks the first meeting between the teams this season and the start of a home-and-home between two of the league’s best clubs. Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby will be squaring off on national TV.
